My Point in Time on 9/11 and How did we get here

September 11, 2001.

I was traveling in Kingsport, TN on my way to Eastman Chemical Company to conduct an audit. As I was going down John B Dennis Bypass, I heard over that radio that a plane had just flown into the World Trade Center.
When I arrived at Eastman, security and fire personnel were watching on the big TV monitor. I was with them when the second plane flew into the other tower.
Needless to say, we postponed the audit.
An hour later I was instructed to pack my bags and be on standby… for what, we didn’t know.
That week was full of anxiety and a thirst for news and knowledge.
It was also a time of allegiance and faith.
Where have these ideals gone?
It should not take an act of war or disaster to bring a people together, nor should it take such an act for us to come to the aid of others – friend or not.
