Writing for the fun of it?

Writing for the fun of it?

Yes, I choose to write for the fun of it. It’s often a great way to express how we actually feel about a subject even when we aren’t really sure ourselves. It is a means to truly use some introspect and help sort out our feelings.

To write is to open our soul for those whom we wish to share. In my own attempts to write short stories, how to books, and the like- I notice that I still throw a part of myself into all my works in one form or another, even my works of fiction. Sure it isn’t hard to imagine yourself a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away… but what we might have envisioned would most likely be quite different from what George Lucas would have imagined, if not for his guidance with descriptions and animations.

It’s a bold world out there and we, my friends, have the opportunity to let people see how we interpret life and share our own imaginations with those who care to look into our own depths of the literary arts. (sounded kind of poetic, yet corny didn’t it… that was my intent).

Maybe you’ve toyed with the idea of writing yourself. You should start with a small diary or journal and keep notes. One instructional blog I read had the idea of just put it out there and start writing an don’t stop to correct words, grammar, punctuation or anything – just let the creative juices flow! I believe that is a good bit of advice for all of us. The flow is much easier and the creativity seems to build upon itself. There is always the chance to edit and format later.

That’s all for now my friends. Check out my author page for a quick look at some of my ad-hoc books that are available now. I’m toying with the idea of rewriting the Pokeberry War into a longer version and similarly with Wealth on the Installment Plan.

My current works are articles on “Overstock”, “Technology Addiction”, a blog on DIY Hydroponics, and I’m working with another publisher for a travel guide to the Tri-Cities.
